Day 01 : Abroad to Cochin By: Intl Flight
Take an international flight to Cochin.
Day 02 : Arrival in Cochin By: Intl Flight
You will arrive at Cochin International Airport. After customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, Indie Trails representative will meet you at the exit of the arrivals terminal building and transfer you to your hotel. Cochin (Kochi) is spread out on islands and headlands in a spectacular location between the Arabian Sea and the backwaters. The city was founded in 1341 when a flood created a naturally safe port, which became a major port for the spice trade on the Malabar Coast. Cochin was on the main trade route between Europe and China. Rulers invited people of various religions to come here, attracting Jews and Christians who built places of worship and their own communities. In the afternoon, go on a sightseeing tour of Cochin and visit a 400-year-old Jewish synagogue (closed on Fridays and Saturdays). It is decorated with beautiful Belgian glass chandeliers and hand-painted tiles from China. Visit the Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays), which has stunning frescoes on its walls depicting the entire story of the Ramayana. See the Church of St. Francis (closed on Sundays), the first European church built in India. Enjoy a live Kathakali dance performance in the evening. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 03 : Cochin -Alleppy By: Surface

After breakfast, transfer to Alleppey.
Alleppey, also called Alappuzha, is a pleasant and quiet market town surrounded by coconut plantations. Thanks to its extensive canal network, it is a major center for backwater cruises and the site of exciting sailing races. Also called The Venice of the East, the city is the headquarters of Kerala’s coconut industry and is also important for cashew nut processing.

Kettuvallam (Houseboat) is a village boat used in ancient times to transport goods from isolated inland villages to cities. With the advent of roads, bridges and ferry services, Kettuvallams gradually disappeared from the scene. Now this Kettuvallam has again become a major tourist attraction. A trip to Kettuvallam is an amazing way to explore the captivating beauty of the backwaters.

Day 04 : Alleppy - Calicut - Vythiri By: Surface

After breakfast, disembark the houseboat and transfer to the train station to board the
JAN SHATABDI EXPRESS (08:15/12:55 hrs).

Arrive in Calicut and drive travel to Vythiri (approximately 65 km/2.5 hours). The rest of the at leisure.

Dinner and hotel accommodation.

Day 05 : Vythiri By: Surface
Breakfast at the hotel. Independent activities are free on this day. Visit the town of Vythiri to disconnect yourself from city life for some time. Known for its old-world charm of cottages, the Vythiri town is a small, gorgeous town that offers a laid-back atmosphere for you to relax. Lunch, dinner& Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Vythiri-Mysore By: Surface
After breakfast, drive from Vythiri to Mysore (about 150 km/04 hours). In the afternoon, visit a beautiful village at the foot of Mount Chamundi. Visit Mysore Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace. This palace was the residence of the Maharaja of Mysore. It burned down in 1897 and the present building was built in 1912 at a cost of Rs. 4.2 million; Chamundi Hill - The Sri Chamuneshwari Temple can be seen at a height of 1062 m in Mysore. Day 07 : Mysore-HassanBy: Surface

After breakfast at the hotel and drive to Hassan (approximately 140 km/04 hours), enroute to visit Srirangapatnam and Shravanbelagola.

Srirangapatnam is also known as Tipu Sultan Fort as Tipu Sultan's residence was located within this fort. It was at Tipu Fort that the Sultan breathed his last while fighting the British in the Mysore War of the 18th century. Located on an island in the middle of the Kaveri River, the fort is built in Indo-Islamic style.

Shravanabelagola, one of India's oldest and most important Jain pilgrimage centers and home to the 17-metre-tall statue of Gomateshwara, is dedicated to the world's tallest monolithic statue (an important religious center of Jainism). Gomateshwara. Later, transfer to Hassan and check into your hotel upon arrival.

Day 08 : Hasan-Hospet By: Surface
After breakfast, travel to the Hoysala temples of Halebid and Belur. Visit the Hoysaleswara Temple in Halebid, the finest example of Hoysala art. In Belur, visit the Channekesava Temple, the only one of the three temples of Hoysala that is used daily. Later you will drive on to Hospet (about 360 km/07 hours). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Hampi: Vijaynagar, once the beautiful capital of the empire, was larger than Rome and had a palace. Temples and sculptures are scattered throughout. The southern sultanates completely destroyed the city in 1565 AD. Some of the interesting monuments that remain today are the temples of Virupaksha, Vittala and Hazara Rama, giant images of Ganesha and Narasimha, elephant stables, the queen's bathhouse, Sculptures of Ramachandra Temple and Lotus Mahale.
Return to the hotel.

Day 10 : Hospet-Badami By: Surface
capital of the Chalukyan region between the 4th and 6th centuries. There are more than 70 structures around the city, the most important of which are the Radan Temple, Kulinguidi and Durgidide Temples. Continue your drive towards Badami. On the way, stop at Pattadakal, the second capital of Badami Chalukyan. Pattadakal reached the peak of its glory in the 7th and 8th centuries. The most important monument here is the Lokesvara or Virupaksha Temple, which narrates episodes from the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. After your visit, continue your journey to Badami. Upon arrival at Badami, proceed to hotel check-in. Late afternoon visit Badami Cave temples, cut into the cliff face of the red sandstone hill and connected by flights of steps. They display the full range of religious sects which have grown up on Indian soil. Two of them are dedicated to Vishnu, one to Siva and the fourth is a Jain temple. There's also one natural cave which is a Buddhist temple. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11 : Badami – Bijapur – Solapur (approx 240 kms / 05 hrs) By: Surface

After breakfast you will be driven from Badami to Solapur enroute visiting Bijapur.
Visit Gol Gumbaz, This is the second largest dome in the world. The dome has been erected without the help of any pillars. The most unique feature of the structure is the whispering gallery. Even the tiniest of sounds get echoed several times in the gallery.
Ibrahim Roza - The most impressive structure in Bijapur is the Ibrahim Roza and the associated mosque. Referred as ”The Taj Mahal of the Deccan”, the monument is built to perfection and with unstinting technical care and unparallel skilled artistry. The tomb has remarkable proportionate with elegant cupolas and slender minarets. The parapets cornices further add to the decorative touches.
Continue your drive to Solapur.

Day 12 : Solapur – Shirdi By: Surface
After breakfast you will be driven to Shirdi (approx 275 kms / 06 hrs). Afternoon visit Sri Sai Baba Temple. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13 : Shirdi - Aurangabad (approx 120 kms / 02 hrs) By: Surface
Drive to Aurangabad. Afternoon city tour of Aurangabad -sightseeing tour of Aurangabad. Visit the Bibi-Ka-Maqbara, the tomb built by Aurangzeb for his wife in imitation of the Taj Mahal. Then proceed to Panchakki, an interesting water mill within which, there is a tomb of a Muslim Saint. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14 : Aurangabad By: Surface
Full day excursion to AjantaCaves (Closed on Mondays) where you will visit most of the thirty temples, which have been carved out of a cliff by Buddhist monks between the 2nd century BC and 7th century AD. Although the Ajanta paintings are particularly notable, there are many interesting sculptures as well. As many of the caves are dark and without a light, the paintings are hard to see. Return back to the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 15 : Aurangabad – Mumbai By: Flight
Breakfast at the hotel and visit the extraordinary cave temples of Ellora (Tuesday closed), which were carved out of a solid mass of rock by Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monks between the 7th and 13th centuries. Return back to hotel. Later in timetransfe to airport to board flight for Mumbai. On arrival transfer to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 16 : Depart Mumbai By: Intl Flight
In time transfer to airport to board flight back home.
